Player notes

Wade messages Trevor Philips to say he has found a mini-sub at the docks. Trevor heads to the Port of Los Santos, where a yellow Submersible hangs from the freighter Daisy Lee at Terminal. He needs it for the approach Trevor has chosen for the Merryweather operation. From Plaice Place, Trevor finds a way to bring the craft down, either by getting aboard the freighter and releasing its restraints from the controls or by cutting the supporting cables from outside the ship.

Once the Submersible drops into the water, Trevor swims out and climbs inside. He pilots it through the port to the extraction point, where Floyd Hebert waits with a crane. Floyd lifts the mini-sub from the water and sets it onto a flatbed semi-truck. Trevor and Floyd secure the craft to the trailer before leaving the waterfront together in the truck.

Trevor drives the loaded truck across the Port of Los Santos to a warehouse. Floyd remains with him for the delivery as the Submersible is taken into storage for the planned heist. Trevor stops at the warehouse and gets out of the truck.

  • Time

    Complete within 08:30.

  • No Boarding

    Steal the Submersible without boarding the boat.

Mission failed if

Any of these fails the mission and sends you back to the last checkpoint.

Trivia

  • โ—†This is the only heist set-up mission to appear in both Option A and B of a heist set-up.
  • โ—†This mission is one of the first instances in the game where Dolphins can be observed. Several will usually take interest in the Submersible, and can be identified by their calls.
  • โ—†It is possible to unhook the trailer from the Packer and grab a different truck to pull the trailer. However, during the Merryweather Heist, the same Packer used to pull the Submersible will appear instead of the different truck the player used earlier.
  • โ—†If the player skips the cutscene of the Submersible being loaded, the crane will not be there.
  • โ—†It is also possible to let the cutscene play as normal, then driving away and returning back to where the vehicle is loaded. The crane will not be there, but the steel cable can be seen floating mid-air.
  • โ—†During the mission, the Submersible stays on the trailer and will not move unless by hard collisions. However, after finishing the mission, if the player attempts to take the trailer (pushing the truck until it is detached with another semi-truck), it may cause the sub to shake violently to the point it explodes.
  • โ—†Rarely, the sub will disappear, but the truck and the trailer will not.
