Player notes

At Floyd's Apartment in Vespucci Beach, Trevor finds Floyd arguing with Wade about the strain Trevor has put on his life with Debra. Trevor dismisses Floyd's objections and demands work at the docks. The three change into longshoremen's clothing and leave in Trevor's Bodhi for Pier 400. During the drive, Trevor presses Floyd for details about the cargo handled at the Port of Los Santos. Floyd mentions a freighter guarded by Merryweather Security, which dockworkers are forbidden to approach. Trevor decides to inspect it.

Trevor parks beside dispatch and follows Floyd through the port. A supervisor pulls Wade away to deal with a sewage spill, leaving Trevor and Floyd near the Merryweather vessel. A guard puts them to work moving containers, so Trevor operates a Dock Handler and transfers two marked containers to the loading area while Floyd assists. Trevor then climbs a container crane for a view of the ship, but another foreman orders him to load containers onto waiting trucks. He places two containers on the haulers before walking out along the crane's catwalk.

From the catwalk, Trevor uses his phone to photograph the freighter's bow, a guard by its gangplank and its stern. He sends the images to Ron, then descends to Floyd and takes a truck to the docking area at the Los Santos Naval Port. Trevor claims to be making a delivery, but Merryweather guards surround the vehicle. Floyd tries to defend him and is beaten down. While the guards focus on Floyd, Trevor slips into their office, takes a briefcase containing the shipping manifest and escapes the restricted area.

Trevor returns alone to Floyd's Apartment, where Wade sits on the couch covered in industrial waste. Ron reports that the ship's cargo is off the books. Trevor examines the manifest and finds references to two devices, one of them offshore. He considers whether to take the device from the freighter or pursue the one at sea. Floyd returns and objects to the plan, but Trevor ignores him and makes Floyd clean Wade.

Trivia

  • โ—†In the beta, the player originally had to move crates with a forklift racing Floyd, similarly to the mission Robbing Uncle Sam from GTA San Andreas.
  • โ—†Merryweather presence on the Port of Los Santos was first mentioned in an internet news article from Weazel News after the mission Nervous Ron. The article mentions that Don Percival has been lobbying for a contract that allows Merryweather to work on the port, but they deny that they are working there yet.
  • โ—†If the player kills the Merryweather guards attacking Floyd, Floyd will continue to writhe around and grunt as if he was still being attacked.
  • โ—†The rifle that one of the soldiers attacking Floyd is carrying has no magazine in it.
  • โ—†During the opening cutscene when Trevor is showing Floyd his penis, his genitals can briefly be seen when he drops his pants and pulls them up later, making him the only protagonist in the series whose genitals can be seen, albeit briefly.
  • โ—†In the Japanese version of the game, Trevor does not expose himself to Floyd.
  • โ—†After the mission ends, if the player approaches the bathroom in Floyd's apartment, they can hear Floyd giving Wade a bath.
  • โ—†Sometimes, if the player saves the game by sleeping on the bed right after the mission is passed, once Trevor wakes up, Wade can be seen standing outside of the bathroom already cleaned up, even if the conversation between him and Floyd as if the latter was bathing the former can still be heard.
  • โ—†After arriving at Pier 400, and before the objective "Follow Floyd" appears, the player can enter a Biff that is parked nearby. Staying in it for too long, spooking dock workers with it, or hitting dock workers will fail the mission.
  • โ—†Furthermore, the player can use it to push Floyd around and they will see that he cannot be knocked over even if he is pressed against a wall or hit at high speed.
  • โ—†If the player gets a wanted level after leaving the restricted area, the GPS point will disappear, but the player can still go to Floyd's apartment and complete the mission.
  • โ—†Hitting the dock workers with the containers will not fail the mission. This is most likely an oversight.
  • โ—†On the PlayStation versions, the player cannot get up to the forklift when pressing ; has to be used instead.
