Player notes

Trevor enters the Yellow Jack Inn in Sandy Shores and meets Tao Cheng, who is intoxicated, and Cheng's translator. Annoyed by Cheng's behaviour, Trevor starts to leave, but the translator persuades him to show them his operation. Trevor takes Cheng and the translator toward the meth lab at Liquor Ace on Algonquin Boulevard. On the way, Chef calls with news that Ortega's men are preparing to attack the lab over Trevor's conflict with Ortega.

Chef meets Trevor outside Liquor Ace, fearing the attackers will arrive at any moment. Trevor forces Cheng and the translator into the ice box for their safety, then joins Chef inside the lab. Ortega's men assault the building in successive waves. Trevor and Chef hold the upper level against the first arrivals, then move outside as more gang members close in. If Ortega survived their earlier encounter, he joins the attack and Trevor kills him during the fight.

Chef leads Trevor to the other side of the building, where he gives him a Grenade Launcher to deal with the vehicles and attackers below. They return to the front of Liquor Ace and eliminate the remaining men. With the assault over, Trevor opens the ice box and tries to resume business with Cheng. The translator is too shaken to continue and drives away with Cheng. Chef asks whether Trevor still wants another batch cooked, and Trevor agrees.

Trivia

  • โ—†Trevor locking Cheng and his translator in a freezer might be a reference to The Hangover Part 2, where the trio lock Chow in a freezer because they thought he was dead, but later found out he was alive.
  • โ—†Small snippets of this mission can be viewed in the second in-game trailer.
  • โ—†When Trevor enters his Bodhi at the beginning of the mission, the radio will always be tuned to Soulwax FM and Tao will be dancing to whichever song is playing, suggesting that this could be his favorite radio station. He will also dance along if the radio is tuned to LS-UR (enhanced version only), FlyLo FM or Non-Stop-Pop FM.
  • โ—†After Trevor traps Tao and his translator in the ice box and the shootout begins, the player can sometimes see that some of Ortega's men are in fact Vagos, and can be heard yelling things such as, "Vagos run this, bitch!" and "Oh, shit they got another Vago!". This is a developer oversight. The same dialogue is heard in GTA Online missions that involve the Vagos.
  • โ—†The truck that breaks through the gates cannot be destroyed until it does so.
  • โ—†This is one of the few occasions for the player to obtain a Phoenix or a Dubsta2, if the vehicles didn't explode during the mission.
  • โ—†The Phoenix that spawns on the east side of the Liquor Ace building, next to the red containers, will always spawn with a Utility Black body color, which is unobtainable in Los Santos Customs. It can also spawn with any pearlescent color from the car's regular traffic color sets.
  • โ—†Due to a glitch, Ortega may still appear in this mission even if Trevor has killed him beforehand.
  • โ—†Replaying this mission will cause Chef to act as if Trevor spared Ortega in Mr. Philips, even if Trevor killed him in said mission.
