Banshee (HD Universe)

The Bravado Banshee is a two-door Sports car with room for two. In Grand Theft Auto V, it carries over the GTA IV design, with a low curved body, flared wheel arches, side exhausts, a ducktail-like rear extension and a carbon-fibre diffuser. GTA V versions have a vented hood, while the enhanced edition restores an interior closely resembling that of the Dodge Viper, including vertically arranged gauges.

The Banshee draws on Dodge Viper styling in its cabin and sportier V8 sound. It uses an 8.4-litre carbureted V8, rather than the V10 associated with the Viper. Its paint can be a single colour or a two-tone finish with a secondary-colour stripe, and the cabin stitching takes the secondary colour. It rides on split 10-spoke wheels with low-profile tyres.

Priced at $800, the Banshee is a fast Sports-class choice with improved acceleration and a higher top speed than its GTA IV counterpart. Braking remains strong and its handling line improves, but its rear-heavy balance and weak grip make fast corners difficult. It is suited to racing and can work as an escape car, though it fares poorly off road and its durability suffers in heavy impacts or when its wheels are damaged.
