About this vehicle
The Benefactor Feltzer is a two-seat Sports vehicle with two-door roadster and coupé body styles. In Grand Theft Auto V, it is a heavily modified sports car developed from the GTA IV Feltzer, with a widened body kit, vented fender flares, a sports bonnet, carbon-fibre components, larger wheels, altered headlights and side-exit exhausts. It carries a single paint colour that also changes the stitching inside.
Its design includes rear and fender badges, while its wheels share their design with the Fusilade and Sentinel. Spoiler modifications include the GT Wing and Low Level Spoiler. The Feltzer costs $28,000.
A high-revving supercharged V8 and six-speed, front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout give the Feltzer quick acceleration. Its top speed is lower than that of other Sports cars, its acceleration is average and its braking is weaker, but traction is higher. The rear-biased weight distribution can send it sliding wide through corners, yet its responsive suspension and controllable slides make it well suited to drifting.
Trivia
- ◆As with the Comet, the Feltzer has two different instrument panels depending on the version of the game. The original version's instrument panel is similar to one found in the E46 generation of the BMW 3 Series, while the enhanced version's instrument panel evokes the W140 Mercedes-Benz S-Class' dashboard, and is the only Benefactor vehicle with this dashboard.
- ◆The gauges in the enhanced version very closely resemble gauges that appear on late 80's Mercedes-Benz vehicles, particularly those found on high-end models. This is shared with other vehicles, such as the Verlierer and the Bullet.
- ◆According to the ambient files, the Feltzer is one of several named vehicles in-game that make up distant car sounds. Other vehicles include the Entity XF, Cheetah, Comet, Daemon, Carbonizzare, Vacca and Banshee.
