Barracks Semi

The HVY Barracks Semi is a two-seat military semi-trailer truck in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. It is the tractor version of the Barracks, using the transport Barracks cab with a desert-brown rear section taken from the Phantom. Its rear lights follow the usual semi-truck pattern, but the spare wheel fitted behind the Barracks cab is absent. The truck uses a front-mounted turbocharged inline-four and rear-wheel drive.

A shorter wheelbase gives the Barracks Semi sharper turning and better handling than the Barracks, with above-average acceleration for comparable heavy vehicles. It remains stable and is easy to keep under control, although its brakes respond slowly and take time to bring it to a halt. It can haul trailers faster than standard semi tractors. The truck readily spins its wheels, but only manages very slow circles on dirt rather than pavement.

At Fort Zancudo, Barracks Semis patrol the base and sit parked around it, particularly near the southeast checkpoint. They can also appear on the highway outside the base, on Great Ocean Highway with a trailer, and on inland roads between Sandy Shores Airfield and Los Santos, including near the off-road truck race. In GTA Online, reaching Sponsorship Tier 200 in Arena War unlocks it as a Pegasus vehicle. During The Brute Force File's Infiltration Equipment setup, examples are stationed at a military lockup in San Chianski Mountain Range.
