Heavy Rifle

The Heavy Rifle is a fully automatic 7.62mm battle rifle in the assault rifle class, made by Vom Feuer. It first appears in Grand Theft Auto Online through The Contract, after an earlier version was cut from Grand Theft Auto V during development. Its GTA Online form retains the later redesign, with a shortened barrel, a forward-angled magazine and small changes to the handguard and charging handle.

Its design combines elements of the FN SCAR family and CZ 805 BREN A2 carbine. The barrel and gas block resemble the CZ 805 BREN A2, while the stock draws from the SCAR-H. Earlier versions had different styling: the first showed FN SCAR-16 CQC influences in its iron sights and foregrip, and appears in The Simians trailer in the hands of a chimp.

The Heavy Rifle is sold at Ammu-Nation for $450,000 at any rank. It is also available through the Agency Armory, where the owner receives a 5% discount. Its 40-damage, 50-fire-rate, 40-accuracy and 45-range ratings place it between assault rifles in overall performance. Recoil and spread limit it at distance, so it is used most effectively in close to medium-range fights, where its automatic fire and damage are more reliable.
