Heavy Sniper

The Heavy Sniper is a Vom Feuer anti-materiel rifle in the sniper rifle class. It fires Cal .50 ammunition in semi-automatic fire and carries five rounds. Its design draws chiefly from the Barrett M107, with elements resembling the M82A1 and M82A3, including its raised full-length rail and large muzzle brake. Markings on the weapon identify it as United States Government property.

Franklin receives the Heavy Sniper, fitted with an advanced scope, during Three's Company. Michael has one by Blitz Play, and both retain their scoped rifles afterwards. Once Three's Company is complete, Ammu-Nation sells it for $9,500. In Grand Theft Auto Online, Ammu-Nation offers it from Rank 90 for $38,150, while a Weapon Workshop can make it available earlier. It can also be found aboard the player's yacht, on a rear catwalk in the player's Hangar, and on a desk at B4 in the player's Nightclub.

With 98 damage, 90 accuracy and maximum range, the Heavy Sniper is far more damaging than the standard Sniper Rifle and fires faster than it does. It is among the most powerful bullet weapons, capable of killing a player with a chest shot and inflicting severe damage on vehicles, including a helicopter's tail rotor. Its five-round capacity requires frequent reloads, and it cannot take a suppressor, so it is not suited to stealthy long-range kills.
