Player notes
The Bat is an animal in Red Dead Redemption 2 modelled on the little brown bat, Myotis lucifugus. This small bat feeds on insects, including mosquitoes, wasps, beetles and midges. Its size makes it a light quarry compared with larger animals, and a Bow using Small Game Arrows can be used to hunt it.
Bats are found around Aurora Basin, Bolger Glade and Elysian Pool. At Elysian Pool, they inhabit the cave system's main large cave. Their presence in these areas makes them part of the smaller wildlife encountered around the wilderness and underground spaces.
A bat provides Stringy Meat, a Bat Wing and a Bat Carcass. The meat is edible, while the wings are used in crafting. A perfect Bat Carcass is also required for the Wildlife Art Exhibition task, "A Better World, A New Friend", and is mailed to Ms. L. Hobbs.
