Arthur arrives at Braithwaite Manor, where Penelope Braithwaite tells him that she and Beau Gray intend to leave their families and begin a life together in Boston. Beau is waiting at Rhodes station, but Penelope cannot leave the manor unescorted. Arthur agrees to take her there, riding with her out of Braithwaite Manor and across Scarlett Meadows toward Rhodes.
At the station, Penelope reunites with Beau. She asks Arthur to stay with them until the train's first stop, and he buys their tickets. Before they can board, Beau's cousins, Iain and Scott Gray, recognise the pair and move to stop them. Arthur fights the two Grays, then joins Beau and Penelope aboard the train as it pulls away from Rhodes for Saint Denis.
Braithwaite men chase the train, seeking an item Penelope has taken from her family. They board after finding her with Beau, and Arthur fights them along the carriages. The conductor flees during the attack, leaving Arthur to bring the train under control after the pursuers are dealt with. He drives it to Riggs Station, where Penelope offers him her sapphire bracelet. Arthur may accept it or refuse it before putting Penelope and Beau on a stagecoach bound for Boston.
Trivia
- ◆Accepting the bracelet from Penelope will actually increase Arthur's honor rather than decreasing it. This may be due to Arthur fulfilling Hosea Matthews and Sean MacGuire's mission to rob the Braithwaites.
- ◆The bracelet sells for $75, which is approximately $3,028 in 2026.
- ◆Killing Scott or Iain will not fail the mission nor cause the player to lose honor.
- ◆If the player goes to Gertrude Braithwaite while taking Penelope to the train station additional dialogue can be heard.
- ◆During the ride to the station, Penelope will say "You don't know how hard that can be... to say something is wrong, when everyone around you thinks it's right", which could possibly reference the standoff at Beaver Hollow between Arthur, Dutch and Micah in "Red Dead Redemption".
- ◆Despite getting tickets for Saint Denis, the train heads westward and stops at Riggs Station, West Elizabeth, which is a considerably long distance away from its destination.
- ◆For some players, their horse will die in the train segment of the mission. To prevent that from happening, disembark just a little before the destination marker, that way you aren't forced off your horse. Then tell your horse to stay. Save before the mission for good measure. Your horse will spawn at the end station, safe and sound.
