Vapid Peyote to dwudrzwiowe, dwuosobowe coupé klasy Sports Classics, wzorowane na amerykańskich samochodach z lat 50. W Grand Theft Auto V zachowuje model znany z Grand Theft Auto IV: ma dużo chromowanych elementów, podwójnie ułożone okrągłe reflektory i tylne lampy, szeroki grill, tylne płetwy oraz druciane obręcze. Dach może otrzymać drugi kolor, a continental kit jest modyfikacją dostępną w Los Santos Customs. Niektóre egzemplarze nadal mają zebrową tapicerkę i czarne pluszowe kości przy lusterku.
Peyote stoi w pobliżu posiadłości Michaela oraz w południowej części East Los Santos, a także pojawia się w ruchu ulicznym Vespucci. Wyjątkowy różowy egzemplarz występuje podczas Random Event - Car Theft 1. Po odebraniu go złodziejowi samochód można zatrzymać zamiast oddać właścicielce. Zmodyfikowane, otwarte Peyote'y spotyka się też w El Burro Heights, zwłaszcza na złomowisku autobusów przy South Shambles Street i Hanger Way, najczęściej nocą.
Peyote jest cięższy od wcześniejszej wersji, przez co gorzej przyspiesza i osiąga niższą prędkość maksymalną, choć zachowuje ten sam silnik. Ma krótszą drogę hamowania. W Los Santos służy też jako lowrider dla Los Santos Vagos, Families i Ballas. Otwarte wersje tych gangów mają pozbawione chromu zderzaki, koło zapasowe, grill lead sled, maskę cowl induction, koła lowrider, wyczynowe zawieszenie i własne ozdoby. Franklin może zabrać Peyote należący do Families bez reakcji gangu.
Ciekawostki
- ◆"Peyote" is the real-life common name of a North American breed of cactus, famous for its powerful psychoactive properties. A badge emblazoned with an image of the peyote cactus is placed on side of the hardtop variant's rear pillars.
- ◆Despite having two textures of its "V10 supercharged" badge for each side, the text is mistakenly mirrored on one side. This was fixed in GTA V.
- ◆A Rockstar Games emblem can be seen on Peyotes with zebra seats.
- ◆One of the modifications of the Peyote includes a pair of fuzzy dice on the mirror, just like the Yardie Lobo from GTA III and the Bickle'76 from GTA Liberty City Stories. This is the third car in the series to feature a pair of fuzzy dice on the mirror.
- ◆However, the pair of fuzzy dice was removed in the enhanced version.
- ◆The "Los Santos Plaque" is not spelled the same way as the options menu in Los Santos Customs. It actually reads "Low Santos", referencing its low rider qualities.
- ◆The gang and non-gang modified topless Peyotes can rarely have side windows. This also applies to the gang and non-gang modified topless Mananas.
- ◆The description on Benny's Original Motor Works refers to how the Peyote was originally only obtainable by stealing one on the streets.
- ◆The Route 68 poster seems very similar to the GTA Online Social Club preview, only with different backgrounds; the Route 68 being on said road, while the Social Club preview is seen on the city streets.
- ◆The vehicle's Rockstar Games Social Club listing contains several errors:
