Player notes

At Liquor Ace in Sandy Shores, Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips argue upstairs in Trevor's meth lab until Steve Haines and Dave Norton arrive. The FIB agents need them to help fund an operation against an upstate nerve gas research lab, including the purchase of military equipment. Michael rejects the demand but sees no way out. Remembering Lester Crest's mention of a small-town bank, he calls Lester and arranges to meet him in Paleto Bay. Michael and Trevor leave the lab in Michael's car.

Lester gets off a bus in Paleto Bay and joins them for a survey of Blaine County Savings Bank. Michael drives the group past the front entrance, then around to the rear lot so Lester can inspect the alarm. The system cannot be quietly disabled without consuming the expected take, so Lester asks Michael to test the police response. Michael shoots the alarm and drives with Lester and Trevor to the gas station across Paleto Boulevard. Four police cars arrive after sixty-seven seconds, while dispatch orders checkpoints on the highways.

Trevor leaves the car, takes a Ruffian and races back to his office at Liquor Ace. Control can remain with Michael, who drives Lester through Blaine County, or switch to Trevor on the motorcycle. During Michael's return, Lester concludes that the bank can only be hit by a well-armed crew prepared to overpower the local police. Back at the meth lab, Lester lays out the plan and Michael and Trevor select a gunman. Michael and Lester leave the building as Trevor vomits up his rotten leftovers.

Trivia

  • โ—†Regardless of which protagonist the player races back to Liquor Ace as, the radio in the protagonist's vehicle will be tuned to Los Santos Rock Radio and "Night Moves" by Bob Seger will always play. In the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions, this is changed to "Higher Love" by Steve Winwood.
  • โ—†If the mission fails when the player races into Liquor Ace, and Higher Love was already playing, the song switches to "Night Moves" during the reset.
  • โ—†If the player does not have any ammo or weapons to shoot the alarm with, the player will be instructed to go to the Ammu-Nation to buy a pistol. While the game explicitly instructs the player to buy a pistol, buying any other weapon or ammo for an already owned weapon will also be sufficient. Afterwards, the mission will proceed as usual.
  • โ—†If the player does not have the money necessary to buy the pistol, they will be given $500. Unlike other missions that require the player to purchase something, there is no fail condition for wasting the money on something else (such as throwables or stocks) and the money will replenish itself if the player chooses to do so.
  • โ—†The mission will fail if the player enters Los Santos with Michael and Lester. Trevor, however, can roam Los Santos freely.
  • โ—†This makes it one of 2 missions that will fail the player for returning to Los Santos during Michael and Trevorโ€™s exile (the other being The Paleto Score)
  • โ—†If racing as Michael, Trevor will stick his middle finger up at Michael if he is close behind him.
  • โ—†If Michael gets back into the car when he is supposed to shoot the alarm, Trevor will say, "If... you can shoot the alarm from inside here... If not, GET OUT AND SHOOT THE ALARM!" or "Ooh you wanna do a drive-by, huh? You think hanging out with Frankie makes you a gangster, huh?" or "What are you doing in here? Get out and shoot the alarm!" or "We don't want you in here. We want you outside, shooting the alarm."
