Phoenix (HD Universe)

The Imponte Phoenix is a two-door, two-seat Muscle coupé in Grand Theft Auto V. Its tall, flared body recalls a late 1970s muscle car and is based on the Pontiac Firebird, with a pointed front end, divided grille and ducktail spoiler. It uses the Dominator-style interior shared by several classic muscle cars. Phoenixes can appear in a single body colour or with a centre stripe, and their roof panels, hood and rear spoiler can be altered at Los Santos Customs.

The Phoenix is listed at $20,000. It appears around Clucking Bell Farms in Paleto Bay, Vinewood Racetrack, Grapeseed and Harmony, including during the Eastern Motel police shootout. It is also common around Pillbox Hill and Textile City, while Vagos drive it in Rancho and Families members sometimes use it in Strawberry. After Trevor Philips Industries is replayed, a white Phoenix can be taken from the eastern highway leading towards Sandy Shores, after which it begins appearing on that road.

Its V8 turbo engine and five-speed, front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout give the Phoenix a high top speed, respectable acceleration and strong torque on steep inclines. The light rear and uneven weight distribution make it prone to oversteer, fishtailing and spin-outs, and rollover damage can strip body panels. The Ruiner outperforms it overall, though the Phoenix suits steady cruising and straight-heavy races. In GTA Online, it can appear near Terminal, Maze Bank Arena and Cypress Flats, and is used by enemies in several cargo, contract and gang-related jobs.
