Schafter (second generation)

The second-generation Benefactor Schafter is a full-size luxury sedan with four doors and room for four people. In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, it returns in a stock form, while its bodywork modifications are fitted through Los Santos Customs. It keeps the large chrome wheels and the monotone or two-tone paint arrangement of its earlier appearance, with the secondary colour covering the bonnet, roof and boot. On enhanced versions, the interior stitching follows the primary paint colour.

Its shape combines the long wheelbase, pronounced fenders and side profile of a luxury saloon with a separate influence on the roofline, rear end, exhausts and tail lights. The front uses a grille, headlights and bonnet styled after another luxury model, while the lip spoiler, side skirts and bumper draw on further influences. The cabin dashboard and centre-console layout are largely modelled on a Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W211).

The Schafter is one of the quicker Sedans, with excellent acceleration and a top speed surpassed in its class only by the Super Diamond. Its strong traction avoids much of the excessive oversteer seen in cars such as the Tailgater, allowing it to carry speed through corners. It appears around Rockford Hills, Vespucci Beach and the golf course, and can be bought from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $65,000 in Online, though it was later removed from the website in enhanced versions. It also appears in a chase during Deep Inside and can be selected for the opening Online race.
