About this vehicle
The Grotti Stinger is a two-door, two-seat Sports Classics grand tourer in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Its form draws heavily from 1960s Ferrari models, with further Italian sports-car influences. A full-width chrome bumper, stacked round lamps, curved fenders and chrome trim give it an older open-road design. The rear carries Grotti and "Stinger V8" badging.
The cabin reworks the Banshee interior with black gauges, wood-effect backing and Grotti emblems. The Stinger is offered as a soft-top car or without a roof, and Los Santos Customs can change between those roof configurations. Its body colour covers the exterior, while the selected purchase colour also determines the interior stitching colour. The stitching itself cannot be changed separately.
In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, the Stinger costs $1,000,000 and can be purchased with or without its roof. It has the strongest acceleration and speed among the Sports Classics, matching several sports coupes in straight-line performance. At speed it can oversteer, fishtail or slide wide in turns, while its braking takes longer than expected. Its durability is average, surviving several head-on impacts before failing.

- โAside from the fact the Stinger in GTA Vice City is based on Sonny Crockett's Ferrari from Miami Vice, several other references to the car from the TV show are present in the game:
- โSonny Crockett used in the first season of the show a boat named Chris Craft Stinger 390x.
- โThe Stinger shares its name with the FIM-92 Stinger, which was used to blow up Crockett's Ferrari in the third season of Miami Vice.
- โA Stinger is found parked outside the Downtown Police Station in Downtown Vice City in GTA Vice City Stories, referencing the use of the car on the cop show.
