Surge

The Cheval Surge is a compact four-door liftback sedan with an electric powertrain and room for four people. Its shape takes influence from a hybrid sedan, while its nose borrows cues from another modern car. It has a broad chrome grille with three blue strips that light up when the vehicle starts, matching blue LED running lights. The roof is entirely glass, and chrome and plastic trim cover much of the body.

The Surge uses a Schafter-style cabin shared with the Asea and Asterope. In enhanced editions, its instruments come from the Tailgater, including oil-temperature and fuel gauges despite the Surge's electric drivetrain. Some examples carry a Bean Machine coffee cup in a dashboard cupholder or a smartphone mount. One primary paint colour also changes the interior stitching, while its wheels use the Bullet's rim design.

The electric Surge is quiet at lower speeds, though its sound rises as it travels faster. In Grand Theft Auto V, it often appears in Hawick, Strawberry and West Vinewood. A Franklin character-switch scenario in Downtown Vinewood places one behind him. In Grand Theft Auto Online, it commonly appears around Los Santos, especially Downtown Los Santos and La Puerta. Southern San Andreas Super Autos sold it for $38,000 after the Heists update, until San Andreas Mercenaries removed it from the enhanced-version website.
