Utility Truck (Contender-based)

The Vapid Utility Truck is a two-door utility pickup in the Utility class, with room for two occupants. It adapts the GTA IV Vapid Contender cab to a service body, retaining the Contender's cabin while adding a brush guard, stone deflector, windshield visor and roof marker lights. Its rear bed is built up with lockable-looking compartments, black fender arches and chrome-finished lower panels. The interior is shared with utility vehicles including the second-generation Burrito and the Stockade.

It appears only in worn, rusty white paint, carrying O'Connor Landscape Gardening branding on its doors. The bed can spawn with one of two fixed equipment loads: sandbags with a red toolbox and a bucket, or sandbags, a wheelbarrow, buckets and a broom. These items remain attached. Utility Trucks are common through industrial Los Santos County and Blaine County, particularly Murrieta Heights, La Mesa, Cypress Flats and oil derricks. They also appear around Mission Row, Textile City, Strawberry and Los Santos International Airport, while Paleto Bay sightings are uncommon.

The Utility Truck uses a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive V8 arrangement with a four-speed gearbox and van-like engine audio shared with the Pony and Speedo. It performs like a heavy, aging work truck, with weak acceleration, a low top speed and limited traction. Rear-wheel drive and low power make steep off-road climbs difficult, although its ground clearance lets it travel reasonably over broken ground. Black exhaust smoke appears while it idles and changes gear. It fills the role of an O'Connor landscaping vehicle in traffic and industrial areas.
