The Chipmunk represents the least chipmunk, Neotamias minimus, in Red Dead Redemption 2. It is a small game animal whose carcass provides Stringy Meat and a Chipmunk Carcass. The species appears across almost the entire world, with Grizzlies West as the exception. Its wide range places it in several of the game's wilderness and settled regions.
Chipmunks are especially concentrated in Grizzlies East and around Wapiti Indian Reservation. Further east, they are found in Roanoke Ridge and at Beaver Hollow. Scarlett Meadows, Southfield Flats and Rhodes also hold notable populations, while Gaptooth Ridge is another area where they are common. These locations cover the main areas in which the animal is encountered.
The Chipmunk is used in the Wildlife Art Exhibition task, "A Better World, A New Friend." A perfect Chipmunk carcass is required for the task and is mailed to Ms. L. Hobbs. The game's hunting guidance identifies a Bow with Small Game Arrows as the appropriate weapon for obtaining a perfect-quality carcass.
