Gordo the Boar

Gordo the Boar is a rare boar in Red Dead Redemption. In singleplayer, he appears around Stillwater Creek, west of Thieves' Landing, and may be encountered on the roads near the settlement. His appearance is tied to Master Hunter rank 9, placing him among the later targets in that challenge line. He is a named animal rather than an ordinary boar encounter, with his own provisions.

Multiplayer places Gordo at Greenhollow in New Austin. Waves of regular boars emerge there before he appears, and a red skull marks him on the mini map. He can attack hunters, though a horse offers protection from his charge. A single shot from a Buffalo Rifle will usually kill him, making him dangerous at close range but vulnerable to a powerful firearm.

Killing Gordo yields Gordo's Skin, Gordo's Meat, Gordo's Tusks and Gordo's Heart. In multiplayer, he is the legendary boar required for Master Hunter II Rank 2. His materials can be sold, while the hunt also gives the Master Hunter challenge line a named animal target in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
