The Largemouth Bass is a fish species in Red Dead Redemption 2. It inhabits open and flowing water across the Southern States, including West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Austin. Its name identifies it as a largemouth bass, and it is usually seen swimming energetically close to the surface, where its movement can make it easier to notice than many other fish.
Despite being visible near the water's surface, the Largemouth Bass is not especially easy to catch. Most lures draw little interest from it, while fresh crayfish receives a better response. Rain makes the fish more active, and it is most likely to be caught during wet weather. Reports also place a Legendary Largemouth Bass in the San Luis River.
Catching a Largemouth Bass provides Flaky Fish Meat. The fish is part of the fishing wildlife found in the southern regions, appearing in rivers and other open waters rather than at a shop or through a named seller. Its behaviour makes crayfish and rainy conditions closely associated with the species.
