The Raven, Corvus corax sinuatus, is based on the Western raven. It is a medium-sized black bird that commonly flies in groups. Compared with Crows, it has a longer beak and a rough call with a parrot-like quality.
Western Ravens live in varied habitats across the states. They can be found around Tanner's Reach and Eris Field, as well as Flat Iron Lake, Great Plains, Broken Tree, Grizzlies East, Wallace Overlook, Scarlett Meadows, Tall Trees and Aurora Basin. Omnivores, they eat grains and seeds, but favour carrion and the eggs of nesting birds.
A Bow with Small Game Arrows can kill or wound a Raven. Its remains provide Raven Feather, Flight Feather, Gamey Bird Meat and a Raven Carcass. Raven Feathers are used in crafting, while the meat is used for cooking. Killing Ravens feeding on a corpse contributes to Rank 6 of the Survivalist Challenge.
