A Rage Unleashed

Arthur Morgan approaches Reverend Swanson at Beaver Hollow, but Dutch van der Linde calls him away before the reverend can say much. Dutch talks of taking the gang north to New York and later to the tropics, while Arthur doubts their ability to pull off another score. Karen and Javier then escort Eagle Flies into camp. He says the Army has seized the Wapiti Reservation's horses, leaving his people facing starvation, and calls the theft an act of war.

Charles Smith refuses to break his promise to Rains Fall by joining Eagle Flies' fight. Dutch nevertheless offers the gang's help and refuses Eagle Flies' money. Arthur and Charles ride with Dutch and Eagle Flies toward the Lannahechee River, wary of Dutch's sudden interest. Dutch tells Arthur that trouble between the Army and the Wapiti could draw attention away from the gang. Near Copperhead Landing, they meet Paytah and other Wapiti men, then wait for darkness.

At night, the group rows out to the Army boat carrying the stolen horses. Arthur, Dutch, Charles and Eagle Flies climb aboard and quietly deal with the guards, including soldiers gathered around a poker game. Once the deck is clear, Dutch takes control of the vessel. The group frees the anchor with dynamite, but Dutch loses control as the boat surges forward and crashes, leaving it to flood.

The men release the horses and swim them toward the riverbank. Arthur brings the remaining animals ashore by mounting one horse and leading the others through the water. At the Lannahechee River, Dutch promises Eagle Flies they will beat the Army and save his people, then rides away with him to return the horses to the reservation. Charles asks Arthur to visit Rains Fall.
