A Shady Belle, Leopold Strauss manda Arthur Morgan a riscuotere un altro prestito non pagato. Il debitore è Algie Davison, un pescatore che vive a Catfish Jacksons. La tosse di Arthur interrompe la conversazione prima che parta per la proprietà.
Arthur trova Algie addormentato vicino all'acqua a Catfish Jacksons. Algie si sveglia e lo conduce in casa, sostenendo che gli consegnerà il debito. In cucina, Algie dice a suo figlio Nate di preparare una bevanda mentre cerca una cassetta del denaro sotto il lavello. Arthur può accettare il tè o prendere la scatola vuota da Algie. Entrambe le risposte smascherano l'inganno di Algie, che attacca Arthur, a volte con un coltello.
Arthur mette fuori combattimento Algie mentre Nate corre nella sua camera da letto. Dentro, Arthur trova Nate nascosto sotto il letto. - ◆It is possible to kill or knockout Algie while he is still sitting near the river, then ask Nate for the money location later.
- ◆Players can also kill or knockout both Algie and Nate and collect the money inside Nate's foot locker directly.
- ◆Both actions will result in a loss of honor.
- ◆If the player robs Catfish Jacksons beforehand, Algie will recognize them and comment on it during this mission.
- ◆Sometimes, a bug may occur where neither Algie nor Nate spawn, regardless of whether the player has already robbed the house or not. In this case, upon reaching the property, the mission will simply prompt the player to search the house for the debt money. The player can walk to the chest beside the bed, retrieve the money, and the mission will be completed.
- ◆The soundtrack that plays during the mission is also used in "The First Shall Be Last".
