В Shady Belle Леопольд Штраусс поручает Артуру Моргану взыскать еще один просроченный долг. Должник, рыбак Элджи Дэвисон, живет в Catfish Jacksons. Прежде чем Артур отправляется к его дому, разговор прерывает кашель Артура.
В Catfish Jacksons Артур находит Элджи спящим у воды. Проснувшись, Элджи ведет его в дом и говорит, что отдаст деньги. На кухне он приказывает сыну Нейту приготовить напиток, а сам ищет под раковиной ящик с наличными. Артур может принять чай или забрать у Элджи пустой ящик. В любом случае обман Элджи раскрывается, и тот нападает на Артура, иногда с ножом.
Артур расправляется с Элджи, пока Нейт убегает прятаться в спальню. Там Артур находит Нейта под кроватью. Нейт просит не убивать его и признается, что спрятал часть денег от отца в своем сундуке. Артур забирает наличные, покидает Catfish Jacksons и возвращается в Shady Belle с деньгами для Штраусса.

- ◆When Strauss assigns this mission, Arthur can be seen noticeably coughing, foreshadowing his later diagnosis with tuberculosis.
- ◆It is possible to kill or knockout Algie while he is still sitting near the river, then ask Nate for the money location later.
- ◆Players can also kill or knockout both Algie and Nate and collect the money inside Nate's foot locker directly.
- ◆Both actions will result in a loss of honor.
- ◆If the player robs Catfish Jacksons beforehand, Algie will recognize them and comment on it during this mission.
- ◆Sometimes, a bug may occur where neither Algie nor Nate spawn, regardless of whether the player has already robbed the house or not. In this case, upon reaching the property, the mission will simply prompt the player to search the house for the debt money. The player can walk to the chest beside the bed, retrieve the money, and the mission will be completed.
- ◆The soundtrack that plays during the mission is also used in "The First Shall Be Last".
