Denise Clinton

Denise Clinton is Franklin Clinton's maternal aunt, voiced by Janet Hubert. At the start of the story, she shares the Clinton Residence on Forum Drive in Strawberry with him, though neither treats it as a peaceful home. When Franklin returns from repossessing cars with Lamar Davis, Denise is stretched out on the living-room couch and dismisses him. She sees her nephew as aimless and wants him out of the house, while Franklin resents her housekeeping and her constant hostility.

Denise calls herself a new age feminist and brings friends into the house for meetings and exercise. While Franklin is preparing to take Chop out, she attempts a spirit walk with one of them, chanting as they exercise and struggling to maintain the pace. Later, Franklin finds Denise and several friends practising pelvic stretches and making exaggerated sounds in the living room. Irritated by his presence, she orders him away and tells him to keep out of trouble.

When Franklin's ties to Michael De Santa pull him beyond Strawberry, Denise joins Lamar in confronting him outside the Clinton Residence. They accuse him of abandoning the people from the neighbourhood for older company. Trevor Philips arrives during the argument, first flattering Denise and handing her some money. She objects to the small amount, and Trevor insults her. Denise retreats indoors, declaring that men are all alike.

After Lester Crest arranges Franklin's move to Vinewood Hills, Denise sends him an email saying she will turn the Strawberry house into a women's centre. She criticises his move and speaks harshly about his mother, prompting Franklin to tell her to leave the house alone and stay away from him. On a later visit, he sees Denise leading another chanting spirit walk with her friends. Trevor silences the group as he passes, and Denise later keeps the house locked against Franklin.
