Metrotrain

The Metrotrain is an uncontrollable Los Santos Transit streetcar in the Trains class, running in a white and red livery. Its short body rides on twin-axle bogies and usually couples to a second car facing the other way. The cab end has a black face, circular lights, a curved windscreen and a destination display for "LOS SANTOS". Each side carries operator mirrors, marker lights and two passenger doors.

It stops at stations across the Metro system, where it can be boarded. In Grand Theft Auto V, its doors close once it leaves the station and boarding places the protagonist in a cinematic ride. In GTA Online, the doors stay open and passengers can move through the car while it travels. The passenger section has large bench seats, while the operator's cab is inaccessible in normal play.

The Metrotrain cannot be driven or destroyed. It uses the same handling setup as the Freight Train and its cars, and it stops when pedestrians or vehicles block the track. Threatening the driver makes it continue, pushing obstructions aside. Its horns sound around tunnels and rail crossings, and it provides a means of travelling the Metro route rather than a vehicle the player controls.
