Tank Car

The Tank Car is a freight railroad car in Grand Theft Auto V. It belongs to the Trains class and is built for the railroad rather than road use. Four forms appear across San Andreas: an orange version with a largely individual design and some European influence, two versions based on the North American DOT-111 tank car, and a weathered wreck from an older-looking design.

The black DOT-111-style Tank Car appears as a fixed object in train yards and sidings. Its white counterpart uses the same design, although it is slightly shorter, and appears only as a static object in train yards. The orange Tank Car is distinct from both of these versions, while the rusty wreck is somewhat larger in appearance than the black and white cars.

Rusty Tank Car wrecks lie beside the abandoned rail line and rail yard in El Burro Heights, as well as in scrapyards throughout San Andreas. Tank cars also form part of the Freight Train's consist. In that role, they are pulled as uncontrollable railroad vehicles rather than operated independently.
