Surfer (rusted)

The rusted BF Surfer is a two-seat, four-door vintage camper van in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Its bodywork is heavily corroded, with rust covering the chrome and worn, slightly bent licence plates. White front indicators replace the usual amber lenses, and the rear plate sits on the bumper. Enhanced versions also give it a worn interior and Journey-derived gauges.

Its paint layout reverses that of the standard Surfer, placing the primary colour on the body and the secondary colour on the cabin, stripes and engine compartment. It retains the same door hinges beneath its weathered finish and rides on plain silver-centred wheels. A small rear-mounted engine drives the rear wheels through a four-speed gearbox, using the engine note heard on the Injection and Dune Buggy.

The rusted Surfer is slow and sluggish overall, despite acceptable acceleration and average handling. It withstands heavy impacts poorly and has trouble weaving around traffic, making it ill-suited to pursuits. Its higher ground clearance helps on flat, uneven ground. It can be found at Dignity Village's east side, the abandoned Sandy Shores motel, and behind Ursula's house near El Gordo Lighthouse. In Grand Theft Auto Online, Los Santos Customs buys it for $500.
