Widowmaker

The Widowmaker is a Heavy-class, fully automatic plasma machine gun in Grand Theft Auto Online. Added with the Arena War update during Unholy Hellbringer and Widowmaker Week on January 8, 2019, it has a four-barrel design built around gatling-gun grips. Its ammunition unit sits at the rear, linked to the body by two wires, while alien-head markings run along the side.

It is based on the weapon carried by the Commander in Republican Space Rangers. The Widowmaker costs $499,000 and can be bought from the Gun Van when it is in stock. It is no longer sold through Ammu-Nation after Gun Van Week. A prop version is carried by an NPC dressed as the Commander outside the Oriental Theater in both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

The weapon performs identically to the Minigun and uses the same ammunition. Its 90-round capacity and maximum fire rate make it effective against aircraft, helicopters, vehicles and groups of enemies, though it is cumbersome in the same way. Carrying it slows the character and prevents fast running, taking cover and evasive rolls. It fires red laser bolts, exposing the shooter's position, and its third-person aim reaches higher than the Minigun's.
