Rocket Launcher

The Rocket Launcher is a Shrewsbury Heavy weapon, also known as the RPG, that fires a single rocket at a time. Its design follows the Russian RPG-7 style used by most HD Universe versions of the weapon. In Grand Theft Auto V, it has a streamlined body, a shoulder pad at the rear and a hexagonal blast port. The Enhanced version uses a front sight taken from another weapon design.

A rocket travels until it strikes something or reaches its maximum range, then detonates. The launcher has low accuracy and a slow rate of fire, but its explosive force is exceptionally high. Its blast can kill nearby pedestrians and quickly destroy vehicles, including helicopters, while a direct strike is even more destructive. Rockets do not deflect from surfaces in Grand Theft Auto V.

The Rocket Launcher becomes available after Blitz Play and can be bought from Ammu-Nation for $15,000. Trevor can obtain one during Blitz Play, while Franklin can take one from Elwood O'Neil during Predator. Pickups also appear at NOOSE Headquarters, Los Santos International Airport, the Miriam Turner Overpass, Altruist Camp, underwater wrecks and the sunken Cargo Plane in the Alamo Sea. Fort Zancudo's military use it against low-flying aircraft, and their launchers can be taken from them.
