The Longnose Gar is a large, long, thin fish that inhabits swamps. It appears in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online, with its habitat limited to a few areas of Lemoyne. It can be found in Bayou Nwa and around Bluewater Marsh.
Unlike fish that take natural bait, the Longnose Gar responds to Swamp Lures. It is more active beneath overcast skies, and rain offers the best chance of catching one. Its narrow body and swamp habitat set it apart from the other fish found in the region.
A caught Longnose Gar provides Gritty Fish Meat. People living around Bluewater Marsh also speak of a Legendary Longnose Gar somewhere in the shaded bayou.
