About this weapon
The Double-Barreled Shotgun is a two-shot shotgun made by D.D. Packenbush. It uses Shotgun Ammo, including Regular Buckshot, Incendiary Buckshot, Slug and Explosive Slug loads. Its two barrels can be fired in rapid succession, giving it the power to put down almost any close-range target quickly.
It is powerful and lethal at short range. Reloading takes longer than with most other shotguns, but it has a faster rate of fire and better range and accuracy than the sawed-off shotgun. The weapon carries two shells at a time, with a maximum ammunition supply of 120.
After "Paying a Social Call" in Chapter 2, the shotgun can be taken at the mission's end and is sold by gunsmiths for $95. It can also be found in Algie Davison's house at Catfish Jacksons or looted from the Hermit Woman. In Red Dead Online, it becomes available to buy at Rank 30.

- โMultiple NPCs and gang members may use this shotgun. Uncle has a custom version with a blackened steel barrel and a reddish varnish.
- โIt is possible for the player to store two Double-Barreled shotguns on their horse.
- โDuring "Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten", Arthur will be tossed a Double-Barreled shotgun by another gang member to shoot open the back door of Angelo Bronte's manor. This shotgun will replace any other longarm that Arthur has equipped.
