Flatbed

The MTL Flatbed is an Industrial heavy truck with a two-seat cab and a long recovery bed. In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, it adapts the Packer into a flatbed truck, sharing that vehicle's front-end design. Silver MTL badges appear on the grille and beside the cab, while its industrial wheels are also used by the Benson, Mule and Phantom.

Behind the cab, the Flatbed has a stretched chassis carrying fuel tanks, battery boxes, front mudguards and rear mudflaps. Its rear uses tail lights and a protective arrangement like those fitted to the Pounder and many trailers. The bed has low side borders and internal steel winches, giving it the appearance of a truck intended to recover smaller vehicles after breakdowns or crashes.

The recovery equipment does not operate in-game. The Flatbed cannot transport vehicles, and a vehicle driven onto its bed via a ramp slips off once the truck moves. It appears in single-colour finishes covering the body, front bumper and rear mudguards. It also carries a CB radio, whose trucker chatter can be heard when Trevor drives in Blaine County, even if the main radio is switched off.
