Police Cruiser (interceptor)

The Vapid Police Cruiser, often called the Interceptor, is a four-door full-size Emergency sedan with room for four. It wears the Los Santos Police Department's black-and-white finish, large side "POLICE" markings, a roof unit number and a red-and-blue LED light bar. An A-pillar spotlight works with the high beams, although impacts can tear it away. Its cabin has radio equipment, weapon mounts and a steel mesh divider between the front and rear seats.

Its shape is chiefly based on the Ford Police Interceptor Sedan, while its lighting and siren placement draw from another police sedan design. The headlamp housings and side decals take cues from a concept vehicle, and the taillamps resemble those of another model. Its profile and rear pillar also borrow elements from the 2008-2014 Acura TSX and 2006-2012 Ford Fusion. Black wheels with chrome centre caps are shared with the FIB Buffalo.

The Police Cruiser is LSPD's main pursuit car. It patrols Los Santos, appears around Mission Row and Legion Square, and is stationed at police facilities across the city, including Mission Row Police Station and Bolingbroke Penitentiary. It commonly responds during wanted levels, pursues criminals and can arrive after a 911 police call. In GTA Online it also appears around Los Santos International Airport. Its rear-wheel-drive four-cylinder and five-speed transmission give it strong sedan acceleration, braking and handling, but it damages and deforms readily, particularly around the front wheels.
