The Albany Police Roadcruiser is an Emergency-class, four-door midsize sedan in Grand Theft Auto V, with room for four occupants. It is the North Yankton State Patrol version of the Albany Esperanto and retains the regular car's design and features. Its Albany trunk badge is removed so that police markings can occupy the space.
The Roadcruiser is painted white with gold and blue side stripes, State Patrol lettering on its fenders and trunk, and police emblems on the front doors. The rear carries "Trooper of the year 1951" markings. Blacked-out trim, snow on its upper bodywork, bumpers and windows, and tire chains give it its North Yankton appearance.
North Yankton State Patrol uses the Police Roadcruiser as a law-enforcement patrol car, maintaining a fleet alongside the Police Rancher in 2004. Its equipment includes a four-light emergency bar, A-pillar spotlights and two roof antennas. The tire chains are cosmetic, despite their appearance as equipment for snowy and icy roads.
Trivia
- ◆Crashing into walls will detach the lightbar located on the roof. This also happens with the Police Rancher.
- ◆The car is internally defined as a sports car in the handling data. Therefore, if driving around town in it, pedestrians will comment on it positively, even though it is just a police car.
- ◆The car features the unit number 86 on the roof, but it is not visible in game as it is permanently obscured by snow. The number can be seen on the texture for the police livery.
- ◆In the enhanced version, there is a chance that a smartphone holder will spawn in the interior of the car. This is an anachronism, as modern smartphones did not exist in 2004. This is most likely a developer oversight.
