MG

The Shrewsbury MG, also called the Light Support Machine Gun, is a fully automatic 7.62mm general-purpose machine gun in the Machine Guns class. Its design draws on a belt-fed machine gun, fitted with a drum magazine and a shortened gas tube resembling those on AK-pattern weapons. It has a railed four-sided handguard and an upper receiver rail, but no bipod or carry handle.

With 30 damage, a fire rate of 60, accuracy of 40, range of 60 and a 50-round clip, the MG is built for sustained automatic fire. It is a strong early weapon, though the Combat MG surpasses it in damage and ammunition capacity. Its fire rate also trails many automatic weapons, including the Carbine Rifle. Recoil and limited accuracy make controlled bursts more effective at medium distance, especially without a grip option.

In Grand Theft Auto V, Ammu-Nation sells the MG for $3,000 after The Paleto Score. It can also be found outside the Autoshop northeast of Cypress Flats, in Tongva Hills beneath the eastern side of the highway bridge, below a railroad near northeast Mount Chiliad, on the catwalk beside Bolingbroke Penitentiary's central guard tower, and around underwater wrecks. In GTA Online, it unlocks at Rank 50 at Ammu-Nation for $13,500, and appears in Fort Zancudo during Base Invaders, crate drops, Gang Attacks and the Kosatka engine room.
