The Machine Pistol is a fully automatic 9mm machine gun manufactured by Vom Feuer. Also known as the Tec9, it draws its GTA V design from the TEC-DC9 Mini, with a barrel extension and a sling ring at the rear. Its compact magazine holds 15 rounds.
In Grand Theft Auto V, Ammu-Nation sells the Machine Pistol after Hood Safari for $300. In Grand Theft Auto Online, it is available from Ammu-Nation from rank 1, while enemies can carry it during missions including Gerald's Last Play.
The weapon delivers high damage per shot for its class and fires as quickly as the standard SMG, making it effective in close combat and drive-bys. Its accuracy is also solid, though its iron sights, muzzle flash and lack of optical attachments limit longer-range use. Extended Clip, Suppressor and Drum Magazine upgrades are available, with larger magazines easing its frequent reloads.
Trivia
- ◆Like most handguns, the Machine Pistol's reload animation may vary if it has a round in the chamber or not.
- ◆The Machine Pistol uses the same reload animation for all magazines. Thus, when reloading with a drum magazine, the player character's hand will clip through it.
- ◆Despite being classed as a submachine gun, it uses the same aiming reticle with the other Pistol.
- ◆For some reason, if the Machine Pistol is equipped with either an extended clip, a suppressor, or both, the Machine Pistol would somehow have its attachments de-equipped when the player returns to the game or after they replayed a mission. This only occurs in Story Mode.
