Snowball

Snowball is a temporary Thrown weapon in Grand Theft Auto Online, available during Festive Surprise events. It is a throwable snowball rather than a conventional explosive or firearm. It uses the Grenade throwing animations, allowing overarm and underarm throws, including throws from vehicles. Impacts can leave a powdery mark on certain surfaces, such as vehicle bodywork.

Snowballs are collected from the ground during snowy weather while the player character is unarmed. They enter the thrown-items section of the Weapon Wheel. Three can be gathered at once, with room for nine in storage. The supply disappears when a session is changed or a Job begins, making Snowballs limited to the current free-roam session.

Within the Thrown class, Snowballs are light and travel a long distance, but have very poor damaging power. They can knock a pedestrian or player down briefly with a head hit, break vehicle windows and headlights, and provoke pedestrians into reacting or leaving their vehicles. Police can be hit without an immediate wanted level, although repeated hits can bring one. Snowballs cannot be used to rob convenience stores.
