Hewing Hatchet

The Hewing Hatchet is an old, worn melee weapon modelled on a hewing tool, with a flat edge on one side of its blade. Such hatchets are made for hewing, cutting logs into lumber. It cannot be customized.

It is lodged in a tree stump at the southern end of Moonstone Pond, north of Emerald Ranch in the Eastern Grizzlies. An abandoned shack stands nearby.

In use, the Hewing Hatchet handles like the regular Hatchet and is largely decorative among the hatchets. It can strike in close combat or be thrown. Unlike standard main weapons, it is not returned to the Weapons Wheel after being dropped, so a thrown Hewing Hatchet remains where it lands until recovered.
