Hunter Hatchet

The Hunter Hatchet is a rare melee hatchet in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online. Its design has a long, bearded axe bit, a form intended to give greater control when planing or shaving wood. It cannot be customized.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, it is lodged in a tree stump directly south of Window Rock in Grizzlies West. The stump lies west of Fort Wallace, across the river.

Despite its unusual appearance, the Hunter Hatchet performs like the regular Hatchet. It can be used in close combat or thrown. As with the other unique hatchets, it must be picked up after a throw, since it does not return to the Weapons Wheel when left on the ground. In Red Dead Online, any Fence sells it for $5.00.
