About this vehicle

The Stanley Tractor is a single-seat, ride-on utility vehicle presented as a worn vintage farm machine. Its rusted body carries a partially covered front engine, a bare steel driver's seat, narrow front wheels and large rear wheels with deep dirt treads, beneath rear mudguards. The design takes cues from early 1920s tractors, while its long wheelbase and seating position recall later 1930s models.

It is among the slowest vehicles in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Neglect has left it weak, with little torque or power, and it struggles for traction and speed. The noisy, antiquated engine drives the rear wheels through a three-speed gearbox. Although it is no practical road vehicle, its farming layout suits dirt terrain, and the driver can use a Sawed-off Shotgun in drive-bys.

A standard Tractor is usually parked near Ursula's house by El Gordo Lighthouse, and may rarely appear beside a small storage unit in farmland near paths leading to the railway. Michael receives the cleaner Epsilon Tractor after Unknowing the Truth if he gives the money to the Epsilon Program. In Online, it unlocks as a Pegasus vehicle at Arena War Sponsorship Tier 1000. A Tractor also appears in the Pißwasser television advert.

Trivia

◆A static version of the (with a different grille and body texture) was cut from Manhunt 2. The model was originally used in the removed ending cutscene of , replaced by a pre-rendered cutscene video in the final version.
◆A Tractor is also featured in the Pißwasser advert on the in-game TV.
◆Given its close resemblance to a Fordson Tractor, it is the oldest usable vehicle in the game. This makes it older than the Roosevelt.
◆Despite having metal wheels, when the player is driving at top speed and presses the handbrake, tire sounds can be heard and tire marks will also appear on the asphalt. This can also be seen if driving over grass or soil. Even during normal driving, tire screeching sounds can be heard when tightly cornering.
◆Its distorted horn is similar to the beater vehicles' horns.
◆If the player holds the horn button while on a Tractor, the protagonist will press the horn repeatedly rather than holding it down.
◆Similar to the Caddy and The Liberator, The Tractor does not have any working external lights.
◆Like the Cutter and the Submersible, the Tractor is one of the few vehicles in the game without a radio.
◆Unlike other cars, the protagonist will use only one hand to steer the vehicle.
◆The vehicle's engine model is loosely based on what would be a V16, evidenced by the spark plug configuration. Realistically, V16s would not fit in such a vehicle, however if the vehicle was to use a twin-spark configuration, it would more fittingly be a straight-8 cylinder engine.
