Trailer (flatbed)

The Trailer (flatbed) is a twin axle, medium-sized flatbed trailer in the Utility class. Guard rails run along its sides to protect the underside, and landing gear stands support it when it is detached. Its open bed can carry standing passengers while it is moving, though a turn or the trailer's slight lean can shift them across the deck. Loose vehicles and objects are not secured and slide from the bed when it is towed.

It cannot be driven on its own, but the Barracks Semi, Docktug, Hauler, Packer, Phantom and Phantom Wedge can tow it. Its light weight and relatively low drag allow it to travel quickly for a trailer. It is shorter and narrower than the Army Trailer, giving it a less restrictive turning radius, although tight streets and sharp corners can still make the combination difficult to handle.

Flatbed Trailers appear behind semi trucks, particularly on the freeways. They can also be parked at Terminal and around Elysian Island, where prop versions are present as well. In Monkey Business, a container holding a chemical weapon is loaded onto one. First Dose 2 - Designated Driver has the protagonist collect a truck to tow a supply-loaded trailer for the Fooliganz, before The Lost MC destroys it.
