Heavy Pistol

The Heavy Pistol is a semi-automatic handgun added to Grand Theft Auto V with The Business Update. It has the form of a modern tactical pistol, with a grip safety, a rear control on its right side and a full-length rail beneath the barrel. A red dot sight sits on top. It is cosmetic in the original version, while in first-person view on enhanced versions it acts as the aiming sight.

It is among the heavier handguns and trades some firing speed for strong shots, recoil and useful accuracy. Its damage sits below the Pistol .50's, but its 20-round clip gives it more sustained use than that weapon. With 40 damage and fire rate, 50 accuracy and 35 range, it performs well at close and middle distances. The red dot sight is less obstructive than standard pistol iron sights in first-person view.

In the original version of Grand Theft Auto V, the Heavy Pistol enters the player's inventory once its DLC is installed. In enhanced versions, Ammu-Nation begins selling it for $3,750 after Dead Man Walking. Any Ammu-Nation store sells it in Grand Theft Auto Online for the same price. It is used as a hard-hitting handgun for fights where a larger pistol magazine and controlled semi-automatic fire are useful.
