Switchblade

The Switchblade is a Melee blade weapon in Grand Theft Auto Online, added with the Executives and Other Criminals update. It is a compact folding knife whose series design is associated with Massaro and Beltrame Stiletto knives. Its standard model has a grey blade, a black and grey handle, and the markings "STAINLESS STEEL" and "EDINBURGH" at the base of the blade. The character flicks the handle to deploy or retract it when equipping or putting it away.

Ammu-Nation sells the Switchblade for $1,950. During the Casino Work mission Bargaining Chips, some targets carry one and may attack with it. Killing one of those targets allows the weapon to be kept. Organization roles can alter its appearance: the Bodyguard version has a brown and black handle, a serrated blade and a shorter join between blade and handle, while the VIP version uses black and gold with a curved join and blade tip.

The Switchblade performs much like the Knife. It has the same lethal damage and short reach, with a damage statistic of 15, a fire rate statistic of 20 and no range statistic. It is used for close-quarters attacks, including stealth kills that can kill an enemy immediately. Unlike the Knife, it cannot be used underwater.
