Knife

The Knife is a Hawk & Little blade in the Melee class. Its GTA V model closely follows the Knife from Grand Theft Auto IV, with altered serrations along the blade and a grip wrapped in green cord. It carries a $90 price. Its short reach confines it to hand-to-hand encounters, and it offers only a modest damage increase over fighting unarmed.

Ammu-Nation sells the Knife, while street criminals may carry one. During Fresh Meat, Franklin can take one from the Chinese Thug who attacks him with it. In GTA Online, it is available from Ammu-Nation from Rank 1 and is issued to the GTA Online Protagonist during the Silent & Sneaky approach to The Diamond Casino Heist.

The blade attacks faster than heavier melee weapons, but it lacks the force of the Crowbar and Nightstick. From stealth, an attack delivers an instant neck stab. The Knife is also one of the melee weapons usable underwater, where it can be used against sharks. Blood marks appear on its blade after use.
