Up-n-Atomizer

The Up-n-Atomizer, also called the Raygun, is a single-shot handgun in Grand Theft Auto Online. It is a compact futuristic blaster with a blue body and a yellow coil in place of a conventional barrel. Each shot sends out a glowing yellow coil that ends in a small blue explosion. Its tint alters the colour of that coil beam. Rather than using ordinary ammunition, the weapon restores its next shot after a short recharge.

Its blasts are weaker than those of explosive weapons such as the Railgun, but a direct hit can throw a person through the air. A headshot can kill an NPC outright, while near misses can stun NPCs. The small blast area makes direct hits more useful than broad explosive damage, and its lock-on range suits close fighting. It cannot normally be fired from inside a vehicle.

Against vehicles, the Up-n-Atomizer causes little damage per shot but can shove them out of awkward positions or send them airborne. It can also bring down certain chain-link fences. Firing at the ground or a nearby target throws the wielder upward, allowing access to lower rooftops. It is sold by the Gun Van when stocked, was available from Ammu-Nation and the Agency Armory for $399,000, and can also be obtained through Event Cargos. Players logging in on December 25, 2018 received a Festive version.
