About this vehicle
The Buckingham Luxor is a fixed-wing private jet and monoplane built as the luxury counterpart to the Shamal. It carries ten people and has a mahogany interior. Its black-and-white or gold finish includes swept gold lines along the fuselage and winglets, plus a tail emblem. The name follows Rockstar's use of Egyptian and Arabic terms for business jets, referring to the ancient Egyptian city of Luxor.
In Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, Elitás Travel sells the Luxor for $1,500,000. In Story Mode, examples appear at Los Santos International Airport: parked in the southeast corner beside a Shamal, taxiing toward Michael's hangar, or moving through the northwest area before parking near two jets. In Online, it can appear in Devin Weston's hangar at Los Santos International Airport at Rank 50, at Sandy Shores Airfield, or near the southeast end of runway 33 L.
The Luxor is suited to relaxed private flights rather than competitive flying. It matches the Shamal as the fifth-fastest aircraft, though the Hydra, P-996 LAZER, Besra and Vestra are quicker. Its mass and limited manoeuvrability make tight turns difficult in Air Races, but it holds speed well on straights. In Story Mode, it carries no more than two people despite its larger cabin.

- ◆The emblem on the tail of the Luxor is actually the coat of arms of Emperor Rudolf II of Habsburg.
- ◆Its livery might suggest it is based on Etihad Airways, the Emirati Airline based out of Abu Dhabi.
- ◆In keeping with Rockstar's tradition of naming their business jets after Egyptian and Arabic terms, the Luxor (and the Luxor Deluxe) is named after the ancient Egyptian city of the same name.
- ◆Despite the plane being able to sit 10 people including the pilot in GTA Online, it cannot sit more than 2 persons in Story Mode. If the player reunites all the three protagonists and enters a Luxor, one of the two not controlled by the player will sit next to the player and the third will not board the plane.
- ◆A picture of the Luxor can be seen in the Max Payne 3 multiplayer map "Tiete River Docks" along with pictures of a Shamal, a Titan and a Hydra.
- ◆In the enhanced version, there is a strange triangle-shaped texture found on the interior, between the front right row of seats. This texture shape bears slight resemblance to the Speedophile logo.
